Cora American Pit Bull Terrier Young Female in Springfield, Illinois

My story
Cora is a 6 month old, 30ish pound pit bull mix of some sort. She had a bit of a rough patch in her life, but has healed wonderfully. Cora is crate trained and housebroken. She adores people of all sizes and ages. She is outgoing and playful and loves car rides. She is not destructive in the house, has not chewed up a single pair of shoes and knows where her toys are located. She is quiet for a young dog and rarely barks unless she needs to go outside to potty. She also enjoys what any princess would enjoy: playing dress up and getting her nails done. She has a huge wardrobe that will go with her when she moves into her new palace. Her new family must also know she would do anything for chicken - chicken jerky, freeze-dried chicken, chicken chews, chicken strips, canned chicken...any kind of chicken is her favorite. She wants to be right by your side, doing whatever it is you are doing. I think they call that a velcro dog. For more information on Cora, call the shelter at

or fill out an application at apl-shelter.org.
